In production, quality, and the safety of products comes first. A quality management system with clear responsibilities and processes guarantees the continuous control and improvement of production processes, whereby our entire staff is actively involved with support, training and motivation.
REMA has been meeting the standards of ISO 9001 and the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) since 1994. Even the partnerships with the selected and certified suppliers are a vital contribution to the quality of the product.
Of course, our products also meet the requirements of the RoHS directive. Thus, we make an active contribution to the protection of the environment – from the production until the decommissioning of the products.
We also apply the newly set standards in environmental protection and sustainability at the new location in Rheinbach: in doing so, we produce around 20 % of the required energy ourselves by way of a photovoltaic system, whilst the remaining necessary electricity is purchased from an ecological supplier. Even the office building is planned and set out according to the latest energy knowledge and is heated, for example, by process heat recovery.
We are aware of our environmental responsibilities. Our products contribute to the retention and distribution of renewable energy and thus contribute to the conservation of fossil fuels. But also by the development of new products and in our everyday work activities we try again and again to avoid emissions and to conserve resources.
Standards authorities
There are good reasons for the standardisation of products. Standards help in understanding, further rationalisation, facilitate quality assurance and provide reliability and safety.
Research & development
REMA’s production and manufacturing facilities are spread across various locations around the world and when it comes to product development, we call it “Global Engineering”.
