REMA emergency stop switches ensure operator safety by battery-powered vehicles when unforeseen events occur during operation.
Hitting the REMA emergency stop switch causes the immediate and direct interruption of the circuit. By a snap-action mechanism (leaf springs) in the operating system, the shut-down process is completed independently.
The switches are made from an extremely heat-resistant and non-flammable plastic molding composition with the flammability classification UL 94 V0 (flame retardant and self-extinguishing). The solid contact parts are made of silver-plated and cadmium-free E-Cu copper and conform to DIN 40500.
In the series RN, RNA, and RNS, blowout magnets, with their electromagnetic force, ensure that through the deflection of the charge carriers the spark plasma is extinguished immediately, thereby avoiding burns on contact surfaces. This ensures optimum conductivity and durability even after many switching off processes.
REMA emergency stop switches also have a high-contact-pressure, via a plunger of high-strength plastic material, as well as a robust mechanical design.

Research & development
REMA’s production is spread over different locations worldwide. But when it comes to product development, we state “German engineering”
Quality & environment
In production, quality, and the safety of products comes first. A quality management system with clear responsibilities and processes guarantees the continuous control and improvement of production processes.
