Our products are in operation all over the world, just as we are! In addition to various production locations in Germany and abroad, the REMA Group is also represented with offices in China and in the United States. This means we are able to realize national product solutions and ensure competent on-site support and consultation.

With offices in Rheinbach and USA, REMA EV Connections serves the growing  electro-mobility and reacts quickly and specifically to market needs and developments.

With a European market share of approx. 70 %, REMA is an important supplier of components for electric floor conveyors. The product portfolio includes charging connector systems, pre-assembled cables and tiller heads as well as high-current contacts, emergency stop switches, connection material and associated crimp inserts.

Since June 2016, the headquarters of the REMA Group has been in Rheinbach near Bonn. Currently around 180 employees work here.

In addition to the head office, the research and development Centre is also located in Rheinbach. All R&D work is coordinated here in close cooperation with the production areas and the foreign subsidiaries. Customers and offices alike benefit from the exchange of experiences across all departments and markets.

Rheinbach is the competence Centre for contact technology and production. All contacts are manufactured here in DIN EN ISO 9001 certified production facilities. State-of-the-art production processes guarantee the highest possible product quality. In contact production, REMA masters the cold extrusion process for contacts with a cross-section of 2.5 mm² to 240 mm². Our connectors cover the spectrum from 5 to 640 amperes and thus offer the right solution for every requirement.

Additionally, the specialized in plastic injection molding subsidiary, Kunststoff-Form-Technik GmbH (KFT), is directly adjacent into the production.

The plant built in 2006 is today the competence center to produce the “Molded REMA Connector” (MRC connector), which is exclusively produced and assembled here.

With the patented MRC technology, the virtually inseparable connection of cable insulation and connector housing guarantees a gas-tight and water-tight plug-cable connection. Especially in combination with RemaFlex cables, which have a special insulation sheath, this results in an unrivalled resilience and durability.

The site is also the REMA Group’s largest cable assembly Centre. The range covers all types of cable assembly for industrial trucks and for the charge/battery side, right up to complex cable harnesses with communication connections.

Around 45 employees work in the DIN EN ISO 9001 certified plant.

REMA Technology Shanghai Co. Ltd. (RTS) has been serving the Asian market, especially the Chinese market, since 2006.

In addition to REMA charging connector systems for industrial trucks, the product portfolio also includes tiller heads with electronic control specially designed for the Asian market. In addition to sales and consulting, the final assembly of the products for the Asian market takes place on site.

Founded in 2008, REMA USA LLC has been based in Fountain Inn, South Carolina since 2017 and today employs around 45 people.

Here, customers from the logistics industry purchase charging connector systems and tiller heads for industrial trucks, some of which are manufactured in final assembly on site.

As a member of the SAE International Standards Committee (www.sae.org), REMA USA, represented by Managing Director Tim Rose, has been actively involved in the development of SAE J1772 and IEC 62196 standards for many years.

REMA recognized the importance of plastics for connector systems for power transmission at an early stage. So, for this purpose, Kunststoff Form Technik GmbH was founded in 1986 as a specialist for the development and production of injection-molded parts and today employs about 30 people.

KFT, with the move to Rheinbach, is directly adjacent to the production processes of REMA. Coordinated work processes and quality standards ensure the highest quality of all components and the overall product.

In addition to thermoplastic injection moulding, parts are also produced by gas assisted injection moulding. The products are then further processed for tiller heads and connector systems by REMA.

KFT also advises and supplies its own customers.
