Each connector requires a line and each line a connector. The way in which both components are connected together decide the duration and level of mechanical and thermal stability and ultimately the quality of the electrical connection. All contacts of REMA connectors are designed for compression, and the versatile REMA pressing tools come from the professional program for energy supply. Even when cutting the cables, quality is required: if the cut surface is frayed, it can be very difficult to introduce it into the sleeves, and may not be completely inserted. The pressing process itself is path-controlled. This means that only after reaching the final geometric mold, the tool opens and removal is possible. Especially in this day and age there are a variety of different conductor types and connection elements. However, the existing standardization for these areas is not adapted to dimensions or crimp technology.
Especially with flexible conductors there are therefore enormous difficulties to ensure the required transmission properties. Thanks to the wealth of experience in the crimping of high current contacts, REMA produces an appropriate adaptor for almost any tool (Allen, mandrel, double mandrel, WMS, etc.).
